Our Background

Challenge Accepted

Many of the products produced today are under-valued by the customer due to unnecessary corrosion and paint failures while in service. Corrosion has always been a problem in the manufacturing industry and our founders were tired of seeing their products fail prematurely due to the inability of paint to protect them from corrosion. William Pierce, an engineer, and inventor set out to find a solution to the corrosion problems in 1996. After several years of R&D, the first real solution to the corrosion problem was found, and in 1999, PRP® Industries was started to help other manufacturers.

Corrosion Solved

PRP® partners with manufacturers to increase the value and profitability of the products they produce through the elimination or reduction of corrosion through the prevention of undercutting and blistering. That’s our claim to fame.

We also understand what it’s like to run a manufacturing company and simply preventing undercutting and blistering is not enough. We know it needs to make financial sense – which is why we look for opportunities to partner with companies where we can add value to their bottom line. In short, we do this by making your products “look better” and “last longer.” Everyone’s products “look” good when they’re brand new. But business owners and customers care about how their products look AND perform after 3, 5, 10 years, and beyond.

Our Technology

All of the CORSOL® corrosion solutions offerings are derived from a process called METAL POLYMERIZATION® in which an appropriate proprietary liquid copolymer is applied to a metallic surface. A chemical reaction then occurs between the copolymer and the metallic substrate providing non-sacrificial protection against corrosion undercutting and blistering.
